'Jack and Jill' trailer: Wanna play Twister with Adam Sandler's 'sister'?

According to this uproarious trailer for Adam Sandler’s new family comedy Jack and Jill, “In every family, there’s one person who drives you a little crazy.” Surprise! It’s Adam Sandler in drag — looking very SNL Gap Girl — playing his own twin sister. Jill is loud, obnoxious, terrible at motorized gardening, and a horse collapses when she sits on it. What a disastrous lady! But someone sees the good in the tragicomic ladysandler from across the Lakers court. It’s hot dog lothario AL PACINO. Really?!

Really! When Al Pacino looks at Jill, he sees himself. Really! Okay, sure. Now everybody dance. Adam Sandler, kindly perform a double dutch routine with yourself. That’s perfect. Roll credits.

Will you be in theaters on 11/11/11? And would this movie make more or less sense if Jill Zarin was playing Jill?

Oh, and just for the record I was very disappointed that this wasn’t a full-length feature film about the 1999 WB series. A moment of silence, please.

So we’re going the Tyler Perry/Eddie Murphy route? Sigh.

    • Jamaal

It’s bout time a white man suffered that indignity.

      • nuk nuk

        agreed bruh…

      • the_girl

white men started the trend. Hello Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie, or Robin Williams in Ms. Doubtfire, or hello! Tony Curtis & Jack Lemmon in Some Like it Hot. (and yes, I had to google that last one).
I think I am pretty much on the side of, its hardly ever necessary for any man to wear a dress so can we please make it a rarity Hollywood? thanks

Wow that looks awful. As much as I like Sandler that just should be burned and never watched by anyone ever.

    • allie

Awful…. but also a little bit awesome!!

  • Jester

Wow, can’t tell what’s uglier, Adam Sandler as a man, or a woman.

  • nuk nuk

    …are u *expletive deleted* serious?

  • Dinana

My co-worker and I were just talking about whether he’s getting too old for these “romance” movies…but it’s on 11/11/11??? I wanted to go somewhere special on that day…Greece or somewhere…maybe his movie will do…

If this is what his career’s come to, Sandler should just retire from the movie business.

I’d actually replace “Pacino” with “Sandler” in your comment.

Pacino is an acting legend. Sandler has ALWAYS made idiotic movies.

  • JerryL

Wow. That didn’t even make me crack a smile – and I’m high.

  • Mr. Holloway

This looks like a fake/gag trailer that someone accidentally made into a real movie. Just terrible.

  • Ugh

I was really thinking Adam Sandler was going somewhere good after the amazing Funny People and the decent Grownups. This could not be worse.

  • lettergirl

i’m not what is worse: sandler in a dress, pacino in this movie, the title, knowing that someone put katie holmes in it on purpose, or the fact that it got made to begin with.

    • Mr. Holloway

How about “all of the above”?

    • ophelia

I am 100% certain Al Pacino has a friendship with the director. I am certain that he did it as a favor to the director. He is an amazing actor and if he wants to take a break from serious roles and do a moronic movie than I am in his corner.

  • daviddavid

Too funny. Happy Madison is laughing ALL the way to the bank … believe me, Sandler’s worth billions! They LOVE him OVERSEAS!

  • Vin

It’s so sad that this is what comedy has come to. Adam Sandler hasn’t had a good movie since 50 First Dates, and that was seven years ago (I haven’t seen Funny People yet). I can’t believe movies like Click, Grown-Ups and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry actually make a lot of money. It just goes to show that some audiences have bad taste in comedies these days, and are easily amused by bad jokes, fat suits and bathroom humor. It’s shameful that there are many people in the world that are still looking for jobs, and yet, there are untalented screenwriters out there that get paid to write these garbage movies. I’m glad to say that I’ll definately be skipping this one.

They have moved Armageddon to 11-11-11.

  • renton

Check your dictionary. I don’t think “uproarious” means what you think it means.

  • Jane

I love that some executive said “Yes, let’s make a movie where Adam Sandler plays his twin sister.” On 11/12/11, that guy will be out of a job.
