Chace Crawford is adding a rare XY chromosome to the growing cast of Lionsgate’s What to Expect When You’re Expecting, the studio announced today. The Gossip Girl pin-up will star opposite Anna Kendrick in the sprawling ensemble story, as rival food truck vendors who, whaddaya know, are also exes who find themselves dealing with an unexpected pregnancy.
Based on the best-selling bun-in-the-oven guidebook by Heidi Murkoff, the film’s Love Actually-like interweaving storylines will also include Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks, Brooklyn Decker, Rob Huebel (Children’s Hospital), and Rebel Wilson (Bridesmaids). The film, helmed by Kirk Jones (Nanny McPhee), is set to begin shooting this summer, with a May 11, 2012 planned release date.

It sounds more interweaving stories on the level of ‘He’s Just Not that Into You’ than ‘Love Actually’. In other words, it sounds awful.
