Peter Jackson confirmed today that his two upcoming The Hobbit films won’t be making an appearance at Comic-Con this year. “New Line and Warner Bros. were very happy to support a presentation, but I declined, simply because I felt it was too early,” the director posted on his Facebook page. “There’s so much more of the films still to shoot. I just wanted to get that out there, because I’ve seen various references to the possibility of something Hobbity at Comic-Con. Hate to disappoint anyone. But something tells me we will be there in force next year.”
Jackson also uploaded his third production video for The Lord of the Rings prequels. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: There and Back Again are scheduled to be released Dec. 14, 2012 and Dec. 13, 2013, respectively. Last month, Jackson shared the first images from the J.R.R. Tolkien adaptation exclusively with EW.

Since the first movie doesn’t open for over another year, I’m cool with that. Everyone knows once promotion begins, there will be no escaping it. But I’m very excited for these new films!
These spamming d-bags need to get a life and stop clogging up the comments.
Those dwarves look so amazing in action, so vibrant and full of character! This is going to be fantastic.
Lydia, I’m 72 and broke,if you can feed me and clean my ears you found your man.
Don’t encourage her.
Wait…forget that. Maybe she’ll stop spamming.
Go for it lydia!
Christopher Lee!!!
Christopher Lee seals the deal. If it’s half as good as the LOTR trilogy, This will be the greatest movie franchise of this decade.
I’m a little concerned about Peter Jackson’s weight. He was so slim during “King Kong” and “The Lovely Bones” I guess the stress of a two year film shoot not including the editing and special effects work he’ll have to work with on a daily basis until the 2nd movie gets released would stress anyone out and mess with their diet.
Obsessing about his weight.
Very Weird!
Thats a very cute Photo of Peter Jackson there. he looks Hot!
