In this future, a long life can get you killed early.
Fox brought stars Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried to Comic-Con to discuss the upcoming sci-fi thriller In Time, in which the people of the future can literally buy and trade time on their lives, turning our moments of existence into a kind of currency.
You can guess what kind of target someone would become if he happened to be carrying around a century of life that could actually be stolen. When a "wealthy" man gets tired of living and passes his years to Timberlake's day-to-day working class joe, he falls under suspicion of murder and is pursued by Cillian Murphy -- an antagonistic relationship between two good guys that Timberlake likened to Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones in The Fugitive.

The film is from writer-director Andrew Niccol, who has proven himself to be a sci-fi storyteller who uses the genre not only for action sequences, but to explore larger philosophical ideas in movies such as The Truman Show, Gattaca and the underrated S1m0ne. In this world, everyone stops aging at about 25, which leads to creepy scenes such as Mad Men's Vincent Kartheiser introducing his mother-in-law, wife, and daughter (Seyfried), and you can't tell from looking at them which is which.
Timberlake noted that Olivia Wilde, who is three years younger than him, co-stars as his mother.
"I was looking for new souls and old souls because although everyone looks 25 years old, chronologically they're anywhere from 25 to 105," Niccol told the crowd. "So I had to find a 105-year-old man in a 25-year-old man's body. Even a small role, like a pawn broker, or a bus driver, or a priest -- you'd normally get a worn-out 75-year-old character actor, but I had to find a worn-out 75-year-old character actor in a 25-year-old body."

That… actually looks pretty good
Matt Bomer, JT, Amanda Seyfried, and Cillian Murphy? Count me in! And the storyline actually seems cool.
Matt Bomer kinda sold me… I might actually see this now.
Every movie’s cast this way, this movie just made its own excuse ahead of time.
For once something original
