Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis beef up 'Expendables 2' roles

Turns out they’re not so expendable after all.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis will reprise their cameo roles for Sylvester Stallone’s upcoming The Expendables sequel, though the parts are described by reps at CAA as “sizable” this time around. The movie is aiming for release Aug. 17, 2012.

In the original, the veteran action stars show up for a scene in which bids are placed on a job to take down a ruthless (is there any other kind?) Latin American dictator. Willis was the anonymous “Mr. Church,” soliciting the bids, while Schwarzenegger — then still governor of California — was Stallone’s cigar-chomping rival solider-for-hire Trent Mauser.

“Only an ee-dee-ot vud do dis job,” Mauser declares, before peacing out.

“What’s his problem?” Willis’ character asks.

“He wants to be president,” Stallone grumbles. Take a look at the NSFW clip.

Wait a second … that would make a great plot device for the next film: President Mauser! And it could give Schwarzenegger a new catchphrase: “Only an ee-dee-ot vud do dis job!”

So will Sly and Arnie’s teams join forces against Church or will they be fighting against each other to get the job done?

I hope in the sequel, there will be more amazing fight scenes.
It would be good if they include Jackie Chan, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Steven Seagal, Chuck Norris, Michael Jai White, Kurt Angle and Bill Goldberg.

John McClane and the Terminator gets more action this time around. Too bad Maria Shriver and Demi Moore never saw it coming.

Need to include Christian Kane from Leverage in that group too.

I really enjoyed Expendables. It was just pure mayhem and I loved every second of it. If they were to add Christian Kane I would be beyond excited for the sequel. I’ve loved Christian Kane since he was on Angel way back when.

  • The real Nikki

Carl Weathers AKA Action Jackson is a must have

I’ll accept, but only if you change it to Apollo Creed. Come on, Rocky and Creed team up one last time? And what if Creed kills Drago (Lundren) this time around? lol

      • Ash

I always thought that Drago and Rocky became friends after their fight. Getting beat down by Rocky taught Drago how to stop being a machine for the government. Oh Rocky 4.

      • Mike

LOL…I don’t know if they really became friends but yeah Drago did talk back to his manager dude before the fight ended and he listened to Rocky’s speech as he single handedly ended the Cold War! lol

Looking forward to seeing Arnold again on screen. Hope he is pumping up and attempting to get some of his old physique back. He was once twice as big as Stallone. Anyway, glad to hear he has a bigger part in Expendables 2. That is all I wanted to know about the sequel.

  • mike

August 17th I’m calling in sick. Just sayin. This should be a freakin’ national holiday!!!! I’m so excited. I’m the biggest Expendables fan ever. And I’m a chick:)
