But the latest clip for the DreamWorks spin-off goes further, taking a cue from those “Most interesting man in the world” Dos Equis commercials, and while it tells us nothing about the film’s actual plot, it hits the spot. Check it our after the jump.
You could argue that a fifth film from the Shrek universe is overkill, but if you’re going to isolate a character for a spin-off, the cocksure orange tabby is definitely the way to go. His introduction to Shrek 2 was probably the best creative decision the sequel planners ever made and, apparently, his hairballs are made from fine Italian lambs’ wool.
Does it make you feel like there’s room in your heart for another pussycat adventure, or does it just make you want to YouTube the Dos Equis commercials?

Puss has been the best part of the Shrek sequels. I just hope Donkey doesn’t make an appearance.

Actually, Antonio Banderas is from Spain, so he is Spanish, not Hispanic (which refers to people of Spanish heritage from the Americas). Since fairy tales are European in origin, it would make sense that some character in that universe would be Spanish.

So obviously the nationality doesn’t matter.. Roles should go to Americans first? You’re kidding right? I wish Antonio Banderas would do more American mainstream movies like he used to. Several of the movies that he has appeared in over recent years have not been released properly or gone straight to DVD such as Bordertown (2006), My Spy (2008), The Other Man (2008) and The Code (2009. Unfortunately only if is a Spy Kids or Shrek or Zorro film does it go to the cinema. It is a shame. He is an underrated actor.
That’s probably because TPTB can’t think of what to do with him because of the darker skin and accent. His most successful movies have been ones where he’s played a Mexican character. Hollywood casting agents aren’t known for thinking outside the box.
