Bruce Robinson’s adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson’s novel The Rum Diary won’t hit theaters until Oct. 28, but the newly released poster will prepare you for what is sure to be a wild ride. The film chronicles the drunken life of journalist Paul Kemp (Johnny Depp) while he works and lives in San Juan, Puerto Rico during the 1950s, and the poster perfectly captures his chaotic trip. Depp’s face isn’t shown, as it’s too busy adjusting to the sunlight after stumbling through what looks to be a very drunken night. We do get to see his sculpted back and trashed hotel room, which is completely littered with things like broken bottles, a gun, bowling pins, and a goldfish. Welcome to Puerto Rico! As am I, i am excited about this movie…. Depp is an incredible actor… To say harrision ford is better, is just plain stupid… Harrision ford plays the same role and all his movies are boring… Just my opinion I guess, but honestly, what has he done latyely…. NOtHING,….. sorry, he sucks
We were in PR about a month after Johnny and the crew were there. He was a fantastic good sport with
tourists and the townspeople and all were sorry to
see him leave.
He filmed at a beach close to me and lots of people got
to see him and have pictures pictures taken.
Saw him at Disneyland for a premier of Pirates 3 and you couldn’t have gotten close to him to save your life-those Depp fans are a vicious lot!
