Earlier this year at Comic-Con, Kristen Stewart told panel-goers that her version of Snow White (not Lily Collins‘) would have “a sword and stuff, and really cool weapons.” Now we know what she was talking about. A new set of Snow White and the Huntsman on-set photos have made their way onto the Internet, and, in the most striking image, Stewart rides with Chris Hemsworth, cast as the titular Huntsman. The result is more Lord of the Rings than Disney, and gets me fully on board with the idea of the fairy tale character as a kick-ass heroine. (As Stewart said to panel moderator Dave Karger at Comic-Con, “This girl has the amazing ability to channel fear, things that people are typically afraid to do, into this really focused, really charged, driving energy.”) Check out the entire image below, along with a bonus picture of Stewart fully clad in armor.

Yeah I can’t figure out what everyone’s complaining about at the top of the page; I don’t know much about the Twilight movies (beyond the fact that they are not my cup of tea), but I do like Kristen Stewart (she seems funny and bright), and her Snow White armor is awesome! I gave her a pass on the first twilight because the direction across the board sucked. the other 2 she was marginally better, but still – - – not convinced. It could be the character of bella – it’s an awful character to play. I won’t pay money to see her anymore, but when this comes on cable I’ll watch to see if she’s any better.

I am totally on board for this new bad-ass version of Snow White. I think it’s a cool angle and look forward to seeing what comes of it. I don’t necessarily love Kristin Stewart, but I think she needs to break free of the Twilight boulder hanging around her neck and this might help her do that.
I just hope it’s better than the semi-alterna take on Little Red Riding Hood that came out several months back.

I just so happen to (apparently) be one of the few that actually likes her acting. Granted, all the wooden males in Twilight did nothing whatsoever to me, but they wern’t the worst I’ve ever seen. But I actually like Kristen Stewart’s acting. One of my all-time favorite movies is Adventure, which she was in with Jesse Eisenberg. And though I don’t like smoking all too much, I work at a conveience store, so seeing people smoke doesn’t bother me too much. But all in all, I think she’s a beautiful, talented actress. And yes, I also believe once she sheds the Twilight skin, she’ll have an amazing career.

Yes but in the Grimm version she is still a princess that goes to live with the dwarves where she cleans their house for them. The queen still makes three attempts on her life (she falls for every single one of them mind you). And a prince saves her. Darker yes, but Snow White was not a warrior in the Grimm version.
