For my money, director Ti West’s pitch-perfect ’80s horror movie homage House of the Devil was one of the most entertainingly original — or, maybe, entertainingly unoriginal — films to come down the terror trail in many a year.
West’s much-anticipated new film is the haunted hotel movie The Innkeepers, which stars Sara Paxton and Pat Healy as the last remaining employees of an about-to-be-closed, supposedly haunted New England hotel.
The Innkeepers will be available on VOD beginning Dec. 30 and hits cinemas Feb. 3, but you can exclusively check out the new, spooktacularly gruesome poster to the left and in a larger format after the jump.

Perfect, it’s so fitting.
Saw this at Screamfest. Was a big fan of House Of The Devil and this does not disappoint. Ti West is a really talented director. he knows how to take the genre to a new level by taking what the audience has come to expect in horror movies and changing it up and creating a world that sucks you in and never lets you go.

Despite the roses you throw at West’s feet, House of the Devil sucked donkey balls. As such, I don’t expect any better this time around.
That’s okay, I hear there’s another Twilight Movie coming out, perhaps that’s more your speed?
Seriously, you must not know much about Horror movies. God forbid one should be made that creates a creepy and scary atmosphere that holds you at its whim the whole time with suspense. God forbid it shouldn’t be of the torture porn variety. And God forbid, it should actually be scary and good.
Loved House of the Devil, and Innkeepers is atop my must-see list. All the posters for this movie have been rock solid so far. Check out the mondo one they just did!!
