Tom Hiddleston seemed to be having a grand old time interacting with fans of The Avengers, judging by this pic @Avengers sent out of him manning the computer. He also continued well beyond the appointed time, quoting Shakespeare references for his character and offering up music suggestions.
In the end, he tweeted out this .gif of his villainous character flying through the streets of New York, bombing the hell out of the place.
Here’s what Loki, the god of chaos and trickery, had to say…
@GeoCollins: What was your biggest challenge in playing Loki in the #Avengers ?
@twhiddleston: The biggest challenge was magnifying his menace without losing touch of his emotional truth. Keeping his chaos honest!
@terrigirl_md: You’ve said that in you listened to Prodigy for Loki. What did you listen to this time to get ready for the #Avengers?
@twhiddleston: “Archangel”, by a band called Burial. And not a little of Hans Zimmer’s soundtrack compositions.
@NatashaArsenaul: In Thor, you had lots of emotions. In #Avengers, was there a day where you were devastated emotionally after “cut”? Image Credit: Samir Hussein/Getty Images @twhiddleston:
@Illithya: Funniest moment on #Avengers set? ![]()
@twhiddleston: Getting the giggles when the Hulk smashed. Joss got the giggles too. I was hopeless.
@Badgerminion: Might we see a more mischievous (rather than mostly just evil) Loki in the #Avengers ?
@twhiddleston: ENTIRELY. More mischievous. More evil. More hubristic. More delusional. More damaged. More badass.
@ThiagoSiQueiraF: In the end of “Thor”, we see that Thor still loves his brother and misses him a lot. Does Loki feels the same?
@twhiddleston: The opposite of love is not hate but indifference. And Loki hates his brother.
@4Defenestration: Who was the funnest #Avenger to fight?
@twhiddleston: Brother-to-brother is intense. Hemsworth is a giant, but we trust each other implicitly as actors… which means we can really commit to the physicality of the choreography, and imbue it with emotion.
@Ambika81: Scariest moment on set? Any injuries?
@twhiddleston: I smashed my elbow when facing down the great green incarnation of rage. I guess the Hulk really does smash.
@DAR_Codex: Shakespeare quote to describe Loki?
@twhiddleston: “O beware my lord of jealousy, it is the green eyed monster that doth mock the meat it feeds on.” (Othello) … Or: “Stand up for bastards!” (King Lear)
