Oscar winner Kevin Kline gets schooled on Oscar etiquette by Mike Myers -- VIDEO

In his exclusive interview with EW, Oscar exec producer Don Mischer could not stress enough how important comedy was going to be to this year’s telecast. “Comedy is what really helps keep people with you, and keeps an evening moving and entertaining when you have a long show,” he said. “I think that you can be irreverent, and I think that you can take yourself not so seriously with comedy, and have a little fun, but underneath it all there’s got to be a fundamental respect of the Oscar.”

That is a tricky tightrope walk — keeping things funny, but still staying reverent of cinema’s highest honor. And with that in mind, I present to you the latest Oscar comedy short co-produced with Funny or Die, this time starring Mike Myers as Sir Cecil Worthingon, an Academy minder schooling 1989 Best Supporting Actor winner Kevin Kline on the proper care and etiquette of his Oscar statuette.
