In her first headlining role, The Office‘s Jenna Fischer plays Janice, a woman at a low point in her already unremarkable existence. Her uptight sister (Malin Akerman) and a self-absorbed motivational speaker (Topher Grace) have very specific ideas for Janice’s rebound, but their “advice” only serves to make Janice feel worse. Enter her new coworker (Chris Messina), who moonlights as a silver-painted street performer. Could he be the key to a second wind for this sad sack? Check out the full trailer below.
The Giant Mechanical Man also stars Rich Sommer (Mad Men‘s Harry Crane) and Lucy Punch. The affable indie will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival next month.
