Screem Gems and MGM has found a mom and a pal for Carrie.
Julianne Moore will portray the creepy mother in the studio’s remake of the 1976 picture that starred Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie, Deadline reports. Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers) has also been cast as Sue Snell, while was originally played by Amy Irving.
Chloe Moretz is taking over the title role in the remake.
Kimberly Peirce (Boys Don’t Cry) is directing the movie from a script by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Glee, Big Love).
