Paramount has just released the first photo of Russell Crowe as the titular character in Noah, Darren Aronofsky’s adaptation of the Old Testament’s soggiest story. (Missed it by that much, Jonah.) The Oscar winner and his worried squint seem like a natural fit for a tale of Biblical proportions — though his getup seems more appropriate for temperate Sherwood Forest than scorching Mesopotamia.
