The release of the action fairytale Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters 3D has been pushed back yet again, EW has confirmed. The Tommy Wirkola-directed film starring Jeremy Renner, Gemma Arterton, and Famke Janseen will now hit theaters on Jan. 25.
The film was initially slated for March 2012, then moved to early-January 2013, reportedly to capitalize on the success of Renner’s blockbusters, The Avengers and The Bourne Legacy. This most recent two-week delay coincides with the announcement that Paramount will feature the movie in IMAX theaters, making it 2013′s first new film to debut on the giant-screen venues.
