Francesca Eastwood is the envy of everyone in Young Hollywood — not only because she’s inherited a title previously bestowed on the likes of Laura Dern and Melanie Griffith, but also because she’s getting a chance to spend an entire night rubbing elbows with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced yesterday that 19-year-old Eastwood has been named next year’s Miss Golden Globe. Traditionally, the honor is given to the child of a celebrity; Francesca’s father, of course, is multiple Golden Globe (and Oscar) winner Clint Eastwood. Her mother is actress Frances Fisher (Titanic).
The newly-minted Miss Golden Globe, an aspiring actress herself, recently wrapped the first season of Mrs. Eastwood and Company, an E! reality show. She’s also enrolled at the University of Southern California.
The 70th Annual Golden Globes will air live on NBC Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013. Fey and Poehler will co-host the show.
