• Anne Hathaway has her Academy Award. The Hathahaters have moved on. She’s already lined up a Lynn Shelton indie. What’s her next move? A Christopher Nolan blockbuster “interstellar voyage to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding” of course! The Les Miserables actress is in final talks to reunite with her Dark Knight Rises director for his highly anticipated and annoyingly secretive film Interstellar, based on the theories of theoretical physicist (and time travel enthusiast) Kip Thorne. Matthew McConaughey has signed on to play the male lead in the film, which has already set a November 7, 2014 release date. Despite Hathaway’s diverse resume of musicals, rom-coms, rom-drams, teen flicks, and comics, she hasn’t tackled the sci-fi world yet, making the possibility even more exciting. Jim Carrey has decided to join the comedy Ricky Stanicky, after a reported year of negotiations. The title refers to the name of an invented scapegoat for a group of troublemaking friends. What started out as a teenage joke continues into adulthood, though, until their significant others insist on meeting him. Instead of coming clean, they hire someone to be Stanicky. Carrey’s Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls director Steve Oedekerk will helm the Summit Entertainment feature. According to the report, James Franco was originally attached to star, and Joaquin Phoenix was in consideration as well. [THR]

Kung Fu Panda 3 has added Bryan Cranston, Rebel Wilson, and Mads Mikkelsen to its star-studded cast of voice actors. Though Wilson and Cranston have both voiced animated characters before, this will be a first for Mikkelsen. The DreamWorks Animation feature is set for a December 23, 2015 release and will also feature the voices of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, and Seth Rogen. • Dennis Leary has signed on to join Ivan Reitman’s football film Draft Day alongside Kevin Costner and Jennifer Garner. The Rescue Me star will play the head coach of the Cleveland Browns in the movie, with Costner as the General Manager and Garner as the secretary. According to the report, they’ll shoot it in Radio City Music Hall on April 25 during the actual NFL draft. The original version of the Black List script had the Buffalo Bills down as the team of choice, but the production landed on Cleveland — another rust belt city — because of more appealing tax incentives. [Deadline]

• Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose) will direct Olivia Munn (Magic Mike), Eric Bana (Hanna), and Edgar Ramirez (Zero Dark Thirty) in the Jerry Bruckheimer produced paranormal thriller Beware The Night. Based on Ralph Sarchie and Lisa Collier Cool’s book of the same name, the film will tell the story of a NYPD cop who investigates demonic possessions and assists with exorcisms in his spare time. Bana will play the cop, Munn will play his wife, and Ramirez is set to take on the role of the “renegade” priest. [Deadline]

Pompeii added another late-in-production cast member in the form of Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix). The adventure epic wrapped its Italy shoot and has just begun filming in Toronto with a few new cast members including Jessica Lucas (Evil Dead). Moss will play the mother of Emily Browning’s character. [Deadline]
