'Dealin' With Idiots': Check out the poster for Jeff Garlin's new baseball comedy -- EXCLUSIVE

DEALIN-WITH-IDIOTS

It is no slur on the good name of funnyman Jeff Garlin (well, not too much of one, anyway) to suggest he isn’t the first person one would think of to make a sports movie. So, how did he come to both co-write and direct the forthcoming comedy Dealin’ With Idiots about the apparently very competitive world of youth league baseball?

“The inspiration was my son playing baseball,” the Curb Your Enthusiasm star and director of 2006’s I Want Someone To Eat Cheese With recently told EW. “I was like, I have to write a movie about this. So I did.”

The film stars Gina Gershon, Fred Willard, Bob Odenkirk, JB Smoove, Richard Kind, Kerri Kenney-Silver, and Garlin himself, as a comedian who decides to get to know the parents and coaches of his son’s baseball team better in an attempt to find the inspiration for his next movie. Meta!!!

Dealin’ With Idiots hits theaters July 12 and will also be available on VOD and iTunes. But you can exclusively check out the movie’s new poster above.
