• Aaron Paul, best known for portraying the tragic Jesse Pinkman on the late Breaking Bad, has signed on for Gabriele Muccino’s Fathers and Daughters, starring Russell Crowe and Amanda Seyfried. The story alternates between past and present in weaving together a tale of a mentally ill novelist attempting to raise his young daughter in the city. Seyfried will play the grown up version of Crowe’s character’s daughter, but little is known about Paul’s role. He and Seyfried acted together previously in HBO’s Big Love. [Variety]

Girls star Adam Driver recently denied rumors that he’ll be Nightwing in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman movie, but he has a very different project on the horizon: the sci-fi drama Midnight Special with director Jeff Nichols (Mud). Driver will star alongside Kirsten Dunst and Joel Edgerton, along with frequent Nichols collaborator Michael Shannon; his role isn’t yet known. [The Wrap]

Under the Dome’s Natalie Zea will play Ron Livingston’s wife in the indie Supreme Ruler about two guys in a small town obsessed with being named the “Supreme Ruler” of their local Buffalo Lodge. Vincent D’Onofrio and Marcia Gay Harden also star in the pic. Duane Edwards will direct. [THR]
