Casting Net: Will Ferrell to play Bobby Riggs in 'Match Maker'; Plus, Johnny Knoxville, more

• Will Ferrell is attached to star in the tennis drama Match Maker, about the famous 1973 “Battle of the Sexes” match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs. Steve Conrad (The Pursuit of Happyness, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty) is writing the screenplay based on an ESPN.com article by Don Van Natta Jr. [Variety]

• Johnny Knoxville (Bad Grandpa) will voice the part of Leonardo and Monk‘s Tony Shalhoub will voice Splinter in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Pete Ploszek and Danny Woodburn played the parts during filming. The Michael Bay-produced pic stars Megan Fox, Will Arnett, and William Fichtner (as Shredder) and is set to hit theaters on Aug. 8. • Judy Greer (The Descendants) has reportedly boarded Jurassic World, where she’ll star alongside Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. She can be seen next in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (out July 11). [The Wrap]

• John Leguizamo (Romeo + Juliet), Jim Belushi (According to Jim), and Lynn Collins (John Carter) have boarded the indie border drama The Man on Carrion Road starring Patrick Wilson. Gonzalo López-Gallego (Open Grave) is set to direct. [Variety]
