'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' at the MTV Movie Awards: Electro versus Spider-Man

Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield, and Jamie Foxx introduced a new clip from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 at the MTV Movie Awards Sunday night.

The only problem was — Garfield had it on his computer, but he forgot his password. Luckily, they called in the Geek Squad.

Guess who moonlights as a computer technician for extra cash? Conan O’Brien, of course. He showed up to help Garfield remember his password (“Harry Styles Makes Me Smile”).

'The Fault in Our Stars' at the MTV Movie Awards: The cigarette is a metaphor

Right before the MTV Movie Awards, MTV showed a sneak peek of The Fault in Our Stars!

In the clip, Hazel (Shailene Woodley) chastises Gus (Ansel Elgort) for smoking, but he explains why he really has the cigarette in his mouth.

“It’s a metaphor, you see. You put the thing that does the killing right between your teeth, but you never give it the power to kill you,” he says. Watch it below. READ FULL STORY

MTV Movie Awards: Director Troy Miller explains how Conan O'Brien scored those 50 cameos for the opener -- EXCLUSIVE

When you’re hosting the MTV Movie Awards and promise viewers “The Biggest One You’ll Ever See,” opening with any old been-there-done-that monologue is no longer an option. Conan O’Brien was acutely aware of that challenge when he opted to attempt the Movie Awards’ boldest coup yet and score 50 celebrity cameos within the first five minutes of the show.

As you’ve now seen, O’Brien managed to pull off the feat. But he didn’t do it alone. Director Troy Miller tells EW how MTV assembled this “whirlwind of a celebrity-fest” (full list at bottom), which included appearances by Taylor Swift, Ice Cube, Lupita N’yongo, Andy Samberg, Skrillex, Russell Crowe and the Noah cast, Mindy Kaling, Martin Scorsese, the Big Bang Theory gang, Adam Sandler, and even Grumpy Cat.

“It really shows kind of a fun Hollywood community that you don’t normally see unless you’re on a red carpet. It’s the kind of fun you get a sense of [in] the first 10 rows of an awards show,” says Miller, who adds, “It’s a very cinematic opening.”

“Mark Wahlberg is the definition of a modern day Renaissance Man: from Dirk Diggler to The Departed, The Basketball Diaries to Ted, Entourage to The Fighter, in front of the camera and behind — he’s done it all and he’s always memorable,” said Stephen Friedman, President of MTV. “Mark has captivated the MTV audience for over 20 years, and for this rare feat, we’re proud to recognize him with this year’s Generation Award.”
