One Direction is currently headed out on a massive world tour, but the band is also planning to stop by your local movie theater. Variety reports that One Direction’s Where We Are—The Concert Film will run for one weekend (October 11 and 12) in more than 3,000 theaters across 50 countries. Have you seen the trailer for the One Direction documentary, This is Us? Did you want there to be more shirtlessness? Did you want there to be more robots? Then we’re here to bring you a double-shot of good news. In a Twitter Q&A earlier today, director Morgan Spurlock — who once ate so much McDonald’s he became famous — gave more details about the film, which is being released in 3-D on Aug. 30.
To recap: The fivesome all care deeply about one another, all have great hair, and all treat Spurlock as if he were furniture. Will they be wearing shirts in the movie? They’re wild! Shirts are expensive. Music makes family. Who is Spurlock’s favorite guy? That’s one mystery he’ll never tell.

(Directioners really give Beliebers a run for their money.) The one thing that’s missing: Any sort of personal stamp from Super Size Me‘s Morgan Spurlock, who directed the film. Turn down the volume — lest your eardrums burst — and tune in here:
Academy Award-nominated documentarian Morgan Spurlock — best known for taking aim at McDonald’s with Super Size Me — will direct a 3-D concert film starring One Direction, the British boy band that’s stolen tweenage hearts around the world. According to a press release, the film will be released Labor Day weekend 2013 — the perfect pre-school year pick-me-up.
“This is an incredible opportunity and an amazing moment in time for the band,” Spurlock said in a statement. “To capture this journey and share it with audiences around the world will be an epic undertaking that I am proud to be a part of.” READ FULL STORY
