Rhodey isn’t Tony Stark’s only sidekick in Iron Man 3. In the threequel, Tony, while stranded in a small, snow-covered Tennessee town, gets some help from a science-savvy kid named Harley, played by young actor Ty Simpkins. As seen in the EW exclusive photo above, Harley encounters Tony when his suit is rather worse for wear.

When EW met up with Simpkins on the Disney lot to talk about Iron Man 3, the 11-year-old donned a T-shirt covered with Stormtroopers on skateboards, and tucked back on his head was the pair of Stark Industries 3-D glasses he got at the movie’s premiere. “I got all of them,” he proudly declared of his Marvel-themed 3-D glasses collection.

Read on to learn more about the real-life alter ego of Iron Man’s kid sidekick.

New 'Catching Fire' pics feature Katniss and Prim

Catching Fire‘s teaser trailer will premiere Sunday night during the MTV Movie Awards, and until then, we’ll have to content ourselves with a pair of new images from the Hunger Games sequel. The first shows Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and her angelic sister Prim (Willow Shields) sharing a tender moment, while the second shows Katniss contemplating her mortality. Or something. Both have been posted on Lionsgate’s Hunger Games Explorer site, which will host the teaser after it airs at 9 p.m. Sunday — and is set to release two new new photos before the trailer hits the Interwebs.

'Violet & Daisy': A tale of two hit girls, starring Alexis Bledel and Saoirse Ronan -- EXCLUSIVE POSTER AND PHOTO

When Geoffrey Fletcher won the Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar in 2010 for Precious, it was a surprise success after 17 years of trying to find a foothold in the film industry. Now, Fletcher is gearing up for the release of his feature directorial debut, though taking a seat in the director’s chair was nothing new for him when he embarked on his first post-Precious project.

“Directing felt like being back at home. It felt very comfortable because I’d shot so many things growing up and through grad school,” said Fletcher, whose short film Magic Markers first attracted the attention of Precious director Lee Daniels.

Fletcher’s upcoming film, Violet & Daisy, which he also wrote, is the story of two teenage assassins (played by Alexis Bledel and Saoirse Ronan) who accept what they think will be a quick-and-easy job, until their target (The Sopranos’ James Gandolfini) is not what they expected. READ FULL STORY »

Joseph Gordon-Levitt changes title of his directorial debut from 'Don Jon's Addiction' to…

Don Jon’s Addiction, Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s directorial debut that premiered earlier this year at Sundance, is no more. Or at least the title is no more.

The actor took to his Facebook page Friday to announce that he is shortening the title to Don Jon.

Gordon-Levitt wrote that he’s changing the title firstly because Don Jon is “just so short and simple” and secondly because he felt the former title was creating unwanted misconceptions about the film. Read more of what he told his Facebook fans below: READ FULL STORY »

'Star Wars': The men who played Boba Fett reunite and talk about what makes the bounty hunter so cool

Darth Vader may wear all black, the Emperor may be able to shoot lightening out of his fingers, and Darth Maul may have a bitchin’ double lightsaber, but the biggest badass in the Star Wars universe will always be the notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett. It’s hard to explain just what it is that makes Boba Fett so freakin’ cool, so we asked the three men who played the majority of scenes as the man of few words but many kills to do it for us. That’s right, as part of EW’s new Reunions issue, we brought Jeremy Bulloch (who played Fett in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi), Dickey Beer (who did the big Fett stunts in the Return of the Jedi Sarlacc battle scene) and Daniel Logan (who played young Boba in Attack of the Clones and currently voices the character on The Clone Wars) together. In this bonus outtake not found in the issue, we asked each of the actors their thoughts on what makes Boba Fett such a fan favorite. READ FULL STORY »

'A Good Day to Die Hard': John McClane and son on a mission to Moscow -- PHOTO

A Good Day to Die Hard will be the fifth entry in the action franchise featuring irascible and still-not-yet-retired NYPD officer John McClane—other potential titles included Die Hard or Die Trying and You’re Going to Die Hard, Charlie Brown–but this time he’s got an unlikely partner. Sure, he had an unlikely partner in the last two Die Hard movies, but now it’s his son, okay? Spartacus‘ Jai Courtney plays John McClane, Jr. (a.k.a. Jack) alongside Bruce Willis as the McClane clan head to Russia.

fl-die-hard.jpg

“That’s the thing about the Die Hard franchise, John’s always a fish out of water,” says Courtney, who is also starring opposite Tom Cruise in this fall’s Jack Reacher. “What could be further out of water for him than Russia?” Making things even more complicated, father and son don’t necessarily get along. “The relationship isn’t always functional. These are two guys who have been estranged for some time. John likes to wing it, see what happens. Jack’s more of a strategist.”

Still, the McClanes are able to put their differences aside to fight some baddies, although what particular type of baddies is still unclear. “I can’t say much about the villains without giving it away,” Courtney says. Hmm, maybe there’s something to the fact that all previous odd-numbered Die Hards have featured a Gruber?

A Good Day to Die Hard is slated to hit theaters on Feb. 14, 2013.

'Ender's Game': What's that mysterious chip on the back of Ender's neck? -- PHOTO

enders-game

The highly anticipated film adaptation of Ender’s Game may have been pushed to November 2013, but that doesn’t mean that the official Ender’s Game production Tumblr, set up last month, is going to stop giving fans a weekly tease to get them all excited for the film.

So far, eager readers have seen glimpses of the cast at space camp, a picture of a sign at the Battle School, and a first look at Ender’s home bedroom, but this week, the blog has gifted us with the most revealing image yet — and we still don’t get to see a face! Instead, we’re looking at a small chip impacted on the neck of young Ender (Asa Butterfield), which the government inserts for observation purposes in the scary future presented in the novel. As readers of Ender’s Game know, this chip is used by Colonel Hyrum Graff (Harrison Ford) to monitor Ender’s actions and emotions on Earth — it’s what lets the Battle School know that Ender is the chosen child.
