• Meryl Streep (August: Osage County) is set to go face to face with the NRA gun lobby in The Weinstein Company’s upcoming film, The Senator’s Wife. Harvey Weinstein confirmed Streep’s involvement in the anti-NRA film on The Howard Stern Show, saying, the NRA “is going to wish they weren’t alive after I’m done with them.” According to Deadline the upcoming film will focus on a behind-the-scenes account of how the NRA uses its influence with politicians to defeat the legislation that would have required more extensive background checks on gun sales. Report: 'Grace of Monaco' pushed to a Spring 2014 release


Grace of Monaco, the Grace Kelly biopic starring Nicole Kidman, has been bumped out of the fall slate to a Spring 2014 release just one week after the trailer debuted online, THR reports.

The movie, directed by Olivier Dahan (La Vie en Rose) had been originally set for a limited release on Nov. 27, which would place the film solidly amongst other awards season hopefuls — including the other Princess biopic, Diana (out Nov. 1).

On Feb. 22, The Weinstein Co. will release Dark Skies, starring Keri Russell and Josh Hamilton as a suburban couple whose lives get really, really difficult. That’s a large part of all we know about the film, whose secrecy has been turned into a shell game.

Enter two new sources of information: the film’s trailer and the website, which is part of an interactive marketing push to scare and intrigue audiences without quite telling them what to be scared, or intrigued, by.
