'Breaking Dawn' premiere: Tears, marriage proposals, and the price/perks of starring in 'Twilight'

Hundreds of fans lined up at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles yesterday for the premiere of Breaking Dawn — Part 1, and as Kristen Stewart pointed out, it felt almost like a reunion of sorts. “To be honest, the [fans] that I see frequently, that show up a lot, is what I notice the most,” said the actress. “It’s literally been years for some of them now. That is a trip.”

The crisply-dressed cast spent time signing autographs and taking photos with the crowd before entering the theater. “It is just such a blessing to have the number of fans who do the camping thing grow and grow with each movie,” said Kellan Lutz. READ FULL STORY »

The fifth and final Twilight film may be scheduled to release next November, but Stephenie Meyer ain’t done with you yet. Her best-selling 2008 science-fiction novel The Host — her only non-Twilight work to date — is in the process of being turned into a film, so expect to hear plenty of news about it between now and its March 29, 2013 release date. 'Breaking Dawn -- Part 1' opening weekend tickets already selling out fast

The fangs (and claws) of Twi-hards may soon come out at your local multiplex. While there’s still eight days to go until Breaking Dawn — Part 1 hits theaters, those who don’t already have their opening weekend ticket may want to think about breaking out their wallets soon.

According to a release from Fandango.com, more than a 1,000 showtimes (and counting) for Breaking Dawn– Part 1 have already sold out on the site. As of Thursday, Nov. 10, the latest film in the Twilight series could be accounted for 72 percent of Fandango’s weekly sales, far surpassing this weekend’s release Immortals, which drew just 4 percent of their business. Fellow online ticket seller MovieTickets.com reports indicate similar numbers, having 1,344 performances sold out thus far.

'Twilight': On the scene for the hand-and-foot-print ceremony at the Chinese Theater: 'It's going to look like a yeti,' says Robert Pattinson

So how’s it feel to get your hand and foot prints immortalized forever at the famed Grauman’s Chinese Theater in the heart of Hollywood? “Not only was I wearing shoes too big for me, but I put my hands in the wrong place so I’m going to have the most stupid-looking prints,” Robert Pattinson told EW shortly after the ceremony this morning. “It’s going to look like a yeti.” (Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner pointed out that Pattinson’s feet were askew as well.)  READ FULL STORY »

It’s nearly go-time, Twihards, and the newest TV spot for Breaking Dawn Part 1 is all about ratcheting up the tension (if not the suspense). “Every moment. Every battle… has led to this,” intones the voiceover. Bella looks severely uncomfortable, and she should be for reasons beyond her pregnancy. “Get ready. They’re coming for Bella,” warns Jacob. Anna Kendrick talks cancer dramedy '50/50' and, of course, 'Twilight' co-stars Rob and Kristen

After being swept up during the awards season for her Oscar-nominated role in 2009′s Up in the Air, Anna Kendrick knows how to summon the Hollywood starlet within. And so she did on the red carpet for Monday night’s New York premiere of 50/50 (opening nationwide tomorrow). But Kendrick tells EW she’s glad she doesn’t have to deal with flashing lights and screaming fans on a daily basis. If only her Twilight co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were so lucky. “I feel really, really, genuinely fortunate not to have to deal with that right now,” she admits. “It’s like a prison. It’s a really nice prison, but so what? You still can’t leave your home. I feel happy that that’s not my reality right now.” What else did Kendrick have to say about Twilight?
