Perhaps it was wishful thinking from some die-hard James Bond fans, or maybe Danny Boyle looks really good in a tux. Whatever the reasoning, the rumor that the British Slumdog Millionaire Oscar winner is in line to direct the next Bond movie is not true, EW has learned. “I enjoy the Bond movies, always have and always will, but I have no plans to direct one,” Boyle says via e-mail. “I don’t know who came up with the story, but please tell them I’m very flattered to be thought of!”

Bond is not Boyle’s cup of tea. I can see him getting into a row with the producers from the get-go. Let Danny be Danny and do the best independent small movies he can. That’s where he’s good.
I think Slumdog Millionire is a wonderful movie and it was directed by Danny. I am a diehard fan of Bond Series and want Danny to direct the next Bond movie.
