Saw this last night in Les Saules with two girls from La Broussaille. Needlessly to say, I have a good time making sure they understood where the wild thing was. Laissez les bon temps rouler! Viva Acadians!
Sacrebleu! La Broussaille! Quelle jolie! Et le bon marche! I saw this last night as well. Very much an American take on things.
hello
paranormal activity was terrifying
I saw this film yesterday and was blown away at how visually stunning and emotionally raw it was! It really captured the emotions of childhood. I often feel as though people underestimate what children are capable of feeling/understanding. And I loved how each of the Wild Things seemed to represent a different facet of Max.
James did a great job as Carol. And I thought the farewell scene was very well executed. LET THE WILD RUMPUS START!
I am sorry to note that the movie, Where the wild things are is being reviewd as more adult friendly. This was such a well loved book by my children (in their late 30′s) and by my grandchildren. I have read it so many times I know the first line still, “The night Max wore his wolf suit…..” If the adults enjoy the movie please get this wonderful book by Maurice Sendak for your children.
I found the actual Wild Things (the friendly monsters)to be a bit grotesque, but I think that is the cynical adult in me. Loved the movie anyway.
