Multi-demographic (age, sex, culture, genre) appealing , family friendly movie. Best movie ever…no but a very good movie that appeals to a lot of people …Lets see combine a love story set against and epic background …GWYW/Titanic and mixed with an sci-fi/fantasy …Star Wars/LOTR …add to the mix the first time a A-List major movie has been released in 3-D and not just any 3-D but technical leap in 3-D that people have rightly seen as an event worthy enough to get folks going back into a theatre to see the movie giving them an expierence they just cannot get at home. Harp on the story all you want I don’t think the majority of people are going to sit thru a 3hr movie and recomend it to thier friends or see it again just to look at pretty pictures so on some level the story must be doing a fairly good job.
Even with all the positive feedback, massive box office, technological breakthroughs etc., I just can’t bring myself to go see this movie. I don’t know why but I just have no interest. I keep telling myself I should go but then talk myself out of it.
Trust me when I went to see this movie I had no idea what it was about. I’ve seen the trailer for it on tv (which gives no information about the the movie whatsoever) and I went to go see it and I loved it. By far the most amazing movie I have seen in a long time and to me it was a mix of Pocahontas and Atlantis: The Lost Empire (if you see a lot of Disney movies you know what I’m talking about). It might not be original but it still holds its own. You have to see it 3D or 2D it doesn’t matter you will still come out loving this movie. And for all of those who think 3D is the reason why it is doing so well it’s not because i have seen it in 3D and I don’t usually do that and I think I would have loved it the same way if i saw it in 2D. (I really don’t see the big deal in 3D movies anyway.
Have’nt seen it yet, but thats good to hear all is going well for the movie
anyone get depressed after seeing this movie? There’s an article on cnn saying that tons of people became depressed after watching the movie because they were sad because our planet sucks and isn’t as cool as the world in avatar?
