p.s: Dennis Hopper was a beautiful and true artist, he will be missed.
Simply the best disssection and character analysis of “Blue Velvet’s” Frank Booth that has ever been put in print anywhere. Thanks, Owen.
Agreed.
Blue Velvet the best movie of the ’80s? Seriously?
Beautiful writing and a great elegy. Actually, I wish Owen had written about Hopper in the movie “Elegy,” where he plays a (weirdly straightlaced) poet who suffers a stroke. A brilliant performance that might be seen in new light.
Yeah, it’s good, very useful, thanks
