Check out Patrick Boivin’s delectable Iron Man send-up, starring his daughter Marguerite as a gurgling infant superhero, and you’ll see that it’s awesomely cute and clever and adorable, not to mention a lot shorter than Iron Man 2. (I especially liked the baby-in-the-iron-mask POV shot and the Tarantinoid Bugs Bunnies with machine guns.) But this one-minute-long satire is also, in its way, an astounding testament to what can now be done at home with relatively no-budget hand- and computer-crafted effects. Who needs Hollywood? Iron Baby rules!

that was EPIC!!!
old news..
Yep, let’s all welcome Owen to last month.
How impressive that you got the dish on a baby parody before the mainstream press. They should hire you.
TRASH!
this has been out for awhile now
This was painfully unfunny–and, even at only a minute in length, a waste of my time.
It saddens me that cheap parody and a technological sheen brings attention to amateur filmmakers like this when a once thriving independent market that could produce films like Reservoir Dogs, Clerks, and Sex, Lies, and Videotape has been almost gutted.
God help us all if the creator of Iron Baby gets an agent…Do we need another Meet the Spartans or Epic Movie??
dude, u need to chill. it was a cute and funny vid and you’re going on about the independent film market? that makes complete sense…
Maybe you should actually read the post before you attack my comment as nonsensical. You’re free to think this inanity is “cute and funny,” but it is Glieberman who named-checked Tarantino and said “who needs Hollywood” after watching this junk. I guess I’ll “chill” while more youtubers get 3 picture deals while David Lynch has to release his own movies theater by theater, and many other notable films get no release whatsoever. My beef is with Gleiberman who raised the awareness of such nonsense…
Wow. The venom in the EW.com comments section has gotten waaaaay outta hand. “Last month”? “Painfully unfunny”? Gee, some folks apparently need to deal with their envy issues, it would appear.
Ha! I read the beginning of your comment and thought, “How did I miss Venom? And why is he in an Ironman spoof?” Was about to rewatch til the old brain caught up.
I don’t envy cheap parody…I envy talent…
I fart in your general direction
I desperately want to see a full length film of Iron Baby. Throw in a few kittens and it will take over the world!
