The actress best known for playing the daughter in distress in last year’s Taken and Shannon on Lost, will play Irina in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, the final two installments of the Twilight franchise which are scheduled to begin filming in November in Baton Rouge. Deadline Hollywood first broke the news.
Irina is a member of the Denali coven who blames the Cullens for the death of her lover. Summit Entertainment will release the first installment of Breaking Dawn on November 18, 2011 with the finale bowing the following November. Bill Condon is directing from scripts by Melissa Rosenberg. Grace’s other credits include last summer’s Knight and Day and 2007′s The Jane Austen Book Club.
I don’t think I would classify Irina as a “villain.” Just saying.

Who cares who plays what parts in that book. None of this characters are characters we’ve invested emotions in. They are just mentioned in passing, and really have nothing to do with the “plot”. This character has like two scenes in the whole book. She sees Renesme drinking blood from an animal, goes tells the Volturi, then comes back with them and gets destroyed by the Volturi for giving wrong information.
Not really – she sees Renesmee jumping inhumanly high in a field catching snowflakes. But the rest of it’s right.
Excluding Fanning & Sheen no one in these films can act,so she will fit in perfectly.
Really? I think Fanning kinda sucks in her role. And that’s coming from someone who’s enjoyed her previous work.

She isnt THAT gorgeous. She has a big jaw and squinty eyes. Not what I would think of when I hear stunning beauty, but I think she is perfect for this part.

You know, with all of the other liberties they took, deviating from the original books, I doubt anyone would have minded if they’d made Rosalie a brunette. The color was HORRIBLE. Jasper too, for that matter.

I agree with some of the above comments- Grace would have portrayed a much better Rosalie. Nikki Reed just doesn’t cut it for me.
Why would they leave out a good credit of hers like The Experiment and mention Knight and Day? I mean come on.
Nikki Reed only got the part because Twilight’s first director went out with Nikki’s dad- or something like that… She worked with Hardwick on other projects.
