Bryan Singer in search of princess, Jack the Giant Killer

Director Bryan Singer is planning screentests for New Line’s Jack the Giant Killer, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Aaron Johnson (Kick-Ass), Nicholas Hoult (A Single Man), and Aneurin Barnard are candidates to play the film’s hero, a young farmer who rescues a kidnapped princess from a giant’s kingdom. Adelaide Kane, Lily Collins (Priest), and Juno Temple (Atonement) are in the running to play the princess. The auditions are reportedly scheduled for the next two weeks in London, with the film’s start-date tentatively slated for March.

    Oh man–the original is so classic. Campy, but classic. I have a bad feeling that this is going to end up in Clash of the Titans ’10 territory.
