Though the director said that the project could begin filming next year, it still isn’t financed, and according to one source, the script itself is still unfinished. Scorsese is currently shooting Hugo Cabret, a 3-D version of the Brian Selznick book, starring Chloë Moretz, Asa Butterfield, and Sacha Baron Cohen. He has yet to announce his next project.

This is great. But has anyone else heard about a sequel to Taxi Driver? I randomly looked up the film on wikipedia and there was info there about a sequel happening. Yes, I know wikipedia is often unreliable, but I think the prospect of a Taxi Driver is fascinating. I think people often forget how brilliant, yet open-ended the ending of the film is.

Please let there not be a sequel to Taxi Driver. That’s my favorite film and a sequel would just ruin the integrity of the film. It speaks for itself, it doesn’t need another film to get it’s message across
