But according to Spielberg spokesperson Marvin Levy, the Hollywood titan is doing no such thing. “I can say as a long-time spokesman for Steven that he has made it his career to direct actors, not political figures.”

The sound you hear is yet another crushing blow to the legitmacy of journalism in the cyber-era. The Washington Post should be ashamed of themselves, as should Entertainment Weekly for publishing their own version of the story without verifying sources.
I commented on the first print of this story that this sounded fishy . . . People is it too much to ask to verify your sources?
She is hot and runmatch. com was amazing
Wow, there’s someone in Hollywood not trying to involve themselves in liberal politics? That’s kind of shocking.
The Washington Post reported the truth!
And so what if Spielberg was advising Pelosi? The guy probably pays more in taxes than almost any private citizen in America, can’t he have a say about where his tax dollars go? He and Hanks have done so much for World War II vets, they deserve to have the ear of Congress as much as Big Oil or any other industry.
This is the problem, if your rich you can buy yourself a politician. Spielberg should be giving all his money to charity instead of lining the pockets of corrupt politicians like Nancy Pelosi.
Umm did you not read Stevex’s post Spielberg and Hanks have done lots for World War II vets and to help raise money for a memorial in DC and he does give lots of his money to other charities and schools he is NOT lining the pockets of politicians as stated by others that the Washington Post did not get the story correct
Umm sorry Reena what ever money he has given is only a fraction of the amount that he has. Rich people don’t realize that their money is truly the governments money. People like Steven Spielberg is not paying his fair share and should be ashamed.
This shows that too many people will jump on anything they read online, since they think ‘It has to be true if it’s on the ‘net!”
People also blame ‘liberal’ Hollywood. but if so lib, why are white men still in charge and consdiered the ‘core audience’ for movies, music, and TV??
I wouldn’t be surprised if Spielberg is doing a bit of consulting on the side, he successfully re-branded himself to the African American community, and they/we bought it, hook line and sinker…..
