Though the Hollywood Foreign Press Association chastised Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais for occasionally going too far with his jokes during the televised awards show two weeks ago, the comedian blogs that the HFPA hasn’t ruled out inviting him back. Gervais remained unapologetic about his jokes, which some celebrities found mean-spirited, writing: “The ratings went up again, and the organizers asked me to consider a third year. I don’t think I should. I don’t know what I could do better. I certainly couldn’t get more press for them, that’s for sure. You know me. Two seasons is enough.”
A call to the HFPA was not immediately returned.

OF COURSE they asked him back….we’re still talking about him and the globes!
It’s all about the ratings. And it’s not like the stars will stay away–they’re there for the free publicity and the free booze.
Oh, I hope he comes back. He’s the reason I get really excited for the Golden Globes.

I, for one, don’t think he should do the Globes again after the way he was treated. If he was too honest or “mean-spirited” the Foreign Press should get somebody more family-friendly to host, say, Herbie, The Love Bug. That way Tim Allen at least has a way home.
No to Ricky!! There has to be some consequences for acting like a jackhole.
What is the difference between what Ricky and the way the entertainment shows make fun of the
same people..Charlie and Jesse and
all the other people that have addiction problems.. Really now not
one celebrity was hurt or said anything..But Robert Deniro can make a comment …hope all the waiters and the foriegn press and celebrities have all their papers
or they might get deported..So tell
the entertainment shows when they make fun of celebrities that they
should be chastisied too
