People who love the video game Angry Birds can drive people who love football crazy on Sunday by pausing during the Super Bowl commercial for Fox’s animated feathered-friends comedy Rio and scanning for a secret code.
The code can be found on a single frame during the ad, and can be entered in the game to unlock a special level on Rovio’s hit game. In turn, that level will lead the player to a sweepstakes entry to attend the film’s world premiere in Rio de Janeiro on March 22.
The 3-D animated film is about a pet macaw named Blu (voiced by The Social Network‘s Jesse Eisenberg) who is part of a gravely endangered species and is brought to the Brazilian beach city to breed with Jewel (Anne Hathaway) who only wants to escape captivity.
I’ll probably be too busy playing Angry Birds to make time for this.
I loved the first version of angry birds as it was challenging but fairly easy to get perfect scores for each level. It’s to the point now where it takes often 10 tries on a single level just to get 1 star and the levels are pretty much redundant now. If you like angry birds, you’ll love ‘cut the rope’, it’s by far much easier and more unique.
+1 for Cut the Rope! Wish they’d come out with new levels. Although the free Christmas one was pretty neat.

I don’t think they meant actually scan scanning, but scan as in ‘looking for’. I hope. I also use an iPod Touch, so I’m crossing my fingers.
i don’t think he meant scanning as in actual scanning– but rather scanning the commercials with your eyes for the code that you will enter in.
