A man with a shaved head, a man with a face tattoo, a clothed monkey, and Bradley Cooper walk down the streets of Bangkok. What’s the punchline? We don’t know yet! (Twist!) The first teaser for Todd Phillips’ follow-up to his 2009 hit, The Hangover, has hit the Web — and it looks like the director is still attempting to keep the film’s plot under wraps. (Even when baited by EW, Phillips remained mum on details.) I will say, though: If we can’t have Carlos in The Hangover Part II (out Memorial Day), I will settle for the monkey. But where’s Justin Bartha’s Doug? Dude’s gotta start wearing a bell. See the trailer after the jump!

Train wreck.
your face is a train wreck.
I like the PART 2 rather then “Still hungover” or Hangover 2. It looks pretty grungy which is good. I just hope its not too cartoony which tends to happen with sequels these days.
Sort of like “The Godfather Part II”.
How the F* can you call it a train wreck from that teaser trailer? Damn troll
Meh. First one was ok, highly overrated by some.
Get over yourself
LOL…wow, you really got me with that zinger.
LOLOLROFLMAO
I think it was more than OK but I agree it’s kinda overrated.
I loved the first one, but this is looking like the same movie in a new locale.
@Jim and you ascertained that by viewing 10 seconds of footage?
It’s *looking* that way. I don’t want it to be that way–as I said, I enjoyed the first one. But I’ve been reading about the movie, and seeing the promotional stills they’ve released. No Doug (Justin Bartha’s character) to be seen, so I’m guessing they lost him again. Now we have a monkey instead of a tiger, and there’s a new celeb cameo in place of Tyson. But none of that matters if the jokes are there, so I’ll just quit now.
so you know everything about the movie now, great now i dont have to go sit in the theater and waste my time watching the movie since the trailer tells you everything you need to know about the movie!!!
Might have been better to keep Mel Gibson’s cameo
Ugh no.
I agree, I was dieing to see Gibson. I don’t care about his real life drunken rages, the man can be funny. And if anything, his real life controversy would make the cameo EPIC. How could it not fit a hangover situation?
what? that was it. It showed me nothing. (not that I think it’ll be funny at all) liked the first one enough, but a sequel? Why not take the time and energy into making a new comedy, rather than have flashbacks of a terrible hangover? that’s hollywood for ya. sometimes wish I wasn’t a film student. :L
Be sure to write an editorial when you turn away the suitcase of money the studio gives you for a sequel to your hit comedy someday, film student.
So this is where you’ve been! I’ve been wating for my cafe latte for over an hour! And no, I won’t read your screenplay!
Yeah, once you graduate school I guess you realize you need/want to make money and pay the bills over being a tireless idealist.
will this movie be as unfunny as the 1st one??
sigh.. i worry when sequels are set in “exotic locations!”. i guess i’m mainly still just scarred from the racist debacle of sex & the city 2. I look at this and i’m like great.. how are they going to make fun of asian people here?
lame ass, P.C creation designed to make money.
Anything that could be potentially offensive is under promoted and blasted by sensitive critics.
Bruce and Pryor would be thrown in jail today if they were alive, the way “comedy” is in our society.
While I enjoyed the 1st one well enough, I hope and pray there’s more to it than “Oh, crap! We’re in Thailand now!”I’m trying to think of good sequels to original comedy classics, but nothing’s coming to mind.
I just hope it’s got enough good story to warrant a second one and is not along the lines of Caddyshack 2 or Weekend at Bernie’s 2 or Police Academy 5: Assignment: Miami Beach.
Christmas Vacation was technically NL Vacation II … and it was the best of the series, IMO!!!
The original was funny. I enjoyed it. But it’s been so subsequently overrated by people (I mean it has somehow become “the funniest movie eva!!!!!” for some many people) that I’m sure everyone will rip it and say it’s not as good.
Super Troopers is the funniest movie ever
Agreed.
The first may have been overrated by some, but it was still funny and enjoyable.
I still don’t get what was “funny” about the first one.. Just a bunch of over grown idiots being outrageous without really funny
What I don’t get about this is why do they always have them looking for Justin Bartha’s character couldn’t it have been someone else they lose.
Impossible. The chemistry between the other three is what makes the movie. Doug is the least entertaining one.
The first one was freaking hilarious, so I’m definitely hoping this one will be either as funny or funnier. However, sequels have an annoying knack of being overhyped, and thus perform badly. So, I’ll just look forward to Memorial Day, when it comes out.
I hope they don’t lose Doug again in this one. We don’t need another Home Alone 2.
