Tuesday brought us the theatrical trailer for Pixar’s newest movie, Cars 2 (out June 24), and now here’s the extended international trailer. The key difference? Much more of Finn McMissile (Michael Caine), a British secret agent/1960s sports car who’s not afraid to get his wheels dirty — did he just annihilate more than a dozen henchmen with a single explosive? Also, we discover that in addition to Tokyo, London, and Italy, Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) and his best bud Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) will also be stopping by Paris, where cars are a bit more public about their public displays of affection. One oddity from the trailer: When the subtitle “Italy” flashes by, why are we treated to a scene at Tokyo’s international airport? Regardless, the voice-over promises that McQueen and Mater will “experience more excitement, more danger, and more adventure than ever before!” Notice that the Japanese toilet has been categorized under “danger.” Check out the international trailer below:

Cars 2 will be the pixar movie that jumps the shark for their storied excellence and boxoffice dominance. and im a diehard pixar fan since first toy story
taking things a bit too seriously… aren’t you?
If you think Cars 2 won’t do well at the box office, you’re dead wrong. Little kids loved the first Cars movie. And they’re looking forward to seeing the sequel. Not to mention that merchandising is a big deal with these movies. Little kids (especially young boys) love toy cars.
It will be like adding James Bond to one of my favorite Pixar movies!!! I will be grinning from ear to ear when I watch this in June!!!
I don’t know if I can agree with you on that one,Jdiggity.Pixar is the company that made a movie lead out of a filthy rat,as well as a mute robot. So I,for one, will be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
What exactly does this have to do with Charlie Sheen?
Well both Charlie Sheen and Cars 2 think they’re winning but really they are not because this movie is going to be the first critical failure for Pixar even though it will make Disney lots and lots of money.
Agreed. The first one may not have been a true critical failure, but it was still below average…by DreamWorks standards. I don’t expect improvement based on this trailer.
Doesn*t anyone remember Sir Michael Caine*s performance as Harry Palmer? This is going to be good.
Basically, there’s one reason why pixar is making this sequel. The first cars sold a ton of toys to little kids, and disney made a huge amount of money. Now they’re cashing in on it again, and they’re simply adding more cars so they can sell more toys. it’s a little shameful…
“Give us a break, it’s hard work being brilliant — and our brilliant movies don’t even do THAT well at the box office. Just give us ONE summer to just make a bundle of money and make families chuckle and we’ll get right back to being awesome. Thanks.”
