300 director Zack Snyder’s movie Sucker Punch hits screens tomorrow. To mark the occasion, the Alamo Drafthouse‘s collectible art boutique arm Mondo has commissioned artist Ken Taylor to produce a new poster for said fantastical tale of institutionalized young women as part of their “Director’s Series” line. The poster also goes on sale tomorrow, but can be exclusively viewed to the left and in much larger form below.
Snyder is the third filmmaker to be honored with a Director’s Series of posters by the Austin, Tx., cinema after Guillermo del Toro and Moon auteur Duncan Jones. In addition to Sucker Punch, Mondo plans to sell specially commissioned posters for Dawn of the Dead, 300, Watchmen, and Legend of the Guardians.

Very slick; I approve.
as do i. awesome.
I love their reworked posters- the ones for The Lost Boys, There Will Be Blood, and the original Star Wars trilogy are particularly awesome. Plus, they apparently have screenings of The Happening to make fun of it (kind of like the screenings of The Room) which is also awesome.
Where did you see the There Will Be Blood one?
go to Olly Moss’ site to see There Will Be Blood
The Alamo Drafthouse is a near perfect organization with great film lineups. Now if only they had a smoking section (note: inside joke on the Austin smoke Nazis).
i love it! it would be nice to see it in shades of red though…
Awesomeness!
where the review for this POS? WB making you stall?
These might turn out to be better than the movie itself.
Probably so. Yawn
Sweet!
They’re making a Watchmen poster too? Sold. These posters are usually great.
Even though I haven’t seen it, I already know I want the Watchmen poster. If I had $40 extra laying around, I’d buy it right now, sight unseen.
