Two stooges down, Moe to go: Actor Sean Hayes will take on the wild-haired Larry in Peter and Bobby Farrelly’s long-in-the-works feature film version of The Three Stooges. He joins Will Sasso ($#*! My Dad Says), who was cast late last month as Curly. While the Emmy-winning Hayes isn’t nearly the physical match for Larry that Sasso is for Curly, he is certainly familiar with old-school slapstick, from his time on Will & Grace to his performance as Jerry Lewis in the 2002 CBS TV movie Martin and Lewis. The Farrelly brothers are reportedly gunning for a mid-April start for the project, which would mean that a casting decision on the pivotal role of Moe may be close at hand.

Is this some kind of dramatized biopic of the The Three Stooges or is this a film that will be like an act of the Three Stooges…I really want to know.
I believe it’s the latter…and that it’ll also take place in the present day.

The only thing Mr. Hayes can do wrong is try to please a lot of bozos. He is an excellent choice. You could do better maybe. No way.

Yeah, it was looking, oddly enough, like they were going to make a THREE STOOGES “prestige” pic. How weird would that have been?
NO I couldn’t do better but nearly 99% of the actors in Hollywood could. They should have cast is with them as teens and had Michael Cera as Larry, Jonah Hill as Curly, and SHia Lebuff as Moe.
Neal Patrick Harris should play Moe since he already is one.

This sounds like a tremendously bad idea.
It took me a few seconds to think about this and it boils down to this. The man is funny. If anyone can represent Mr. Fine;; it is the comic genius of Mr. Hayes. So spread out, you Knuckleheads and let*s see who*s going to play Moe.
No!!! Larry is my favorite. Sean Hayes is wonderful, but he looks nothing like Larry!

as painful as that show usually was, i have nothing but praise to give larry joe campbell for his physical comedy in it. and, while i wouldn’t think of him, i think he would’ve fit nicely as a stooge. obviously he doesn’t look as much like curly as sasso does, but i think he is a little underrated as a physical comedy big man.
