Out of those nominees, I’d give it to Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and the line from ‘Inception’.

    • Jeremy

I’d actually give it to Emma Stone, Daniel Radcliffe and the line from Grown-Ups. Stone was brilliant in Easy A.

      • Jackie

True. I’d be happy if either of the Emmas won.

      • Kris

Agreed. I think Natalie Portman had the best female performance last year but she’s already got her Oscar. Emma Stone had the best female performance of any popcorn flick last year and lets face it, this is the Oscars for popcorn movies. Emma deserves an award for that performance.

      • lover

I am a 33 years old Lawyer, rich and strong.but beacuse of busy im still single … now I am seeking a nice woman who can give me true love
        so i got a username marryme11 on
—Dátê`Láwyêr. C’óM — .it is the first and best club for
wealthy people and their admirers. e…you don’t have to be rich ,but you can meet one there ,maybe you wanna check it out or tell your friends !
Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg and the line from Inception.

      • Tom

Looks like Emma is a clear winner here.. unless it turns out that someone filled in for her performances and they photoshop’ed her head on someone elses body.. then not so much.

      • Jane Baker

Natalie Portman’s Oscar is what the Oscars should be all about. A good actress having that one role where she really knocks it out of the park. But the MTV Awards are definitely more popcorn based, and if that is the case, Emma Stone and the “Tom Cruise” line are the clear winners IMHO.

      • Jane Baker

And Jesse Eisenberg kicked a$$ in “The Social Network”.

    • Liz Lemon

I’m voting for Harry Potter, Inception, TSN, Toy Story 3, Black Swan, and Chloe Grace Moertz for the bada*s.

But I have a feeling all my voting will be in vain.

Does anyone else find it funny that MTV didn’t include a clip of Dan and Emma’s kiss?? I know it can’t be too hot for them or are they trying to give the others an unfair advantage?

    • LOL

Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg and the line from Inception.

  • Andrew

I hope “Twilight” does not win all of the awards like last year.

    • davey

      Don’t worry – it will.

      • Anita

we like it that way! there are only 2 more movies and then you wont have to worry about it anymore.

      • Andrew

Last year Kristen Stewart winning over Sandra Bullock was a joke. “New Moon” also winning every category was lame because it was one of the worst reviewed films of the year. The “Twilight” cult is scary.

      • Lisa

Of course Andrew becuase if critics don’t like it, it shouldn’t get any awards. Puhleese…..

      • Karate Pants

LOL! Why do you care whether Twilight wins an MTV Movie Award?

      • paige

oh the MTV Twilight awards are back… I wonder whats gonna “win” everything

      • @paige

I know right? I wonder who?? It’s going to be such a big shocker. I can’t even contain myself the anticipation is killing me. Seriously. Who do you think will win Best Kiss this year??

      • Kris

The last two years Twilight has won everything, its just getting ridiculous. Clearly they have fans and if MTV wants to honour that by giving it an award it doesn’t deserve, fine but give other movies some recognition as well. Twilight will most likely win everything every year until they stop making Twilight movies. I’ll start watching these awards again when that happens.

      • J.P.

They should let other films have a chance at winning. I also thought “Eclipse” winning over “Toy Story 3″ at the People’s Choice Awards was a joke.

      • maluza

The Oscars, Golden Globes, and Actors Guild Awards are serious award shows that acknowledge the critically good movies. So movies like Black Swan, Inception, Toy Story 3, Social Network, etc had their turn. MTV Awards are supposed to be more fun which means movies like Twilight Saga, Harry Potter, Easy A, etc get their opportunity to get acknowledged by their fans… Remember, its fun entertainment. If u don’t like it then change the channel.

      • @maluza

Potter was nominated for two Oscars, so I would put in that first category. It never wins MTV movie awards. I think the first time was last year when Tom Felton won for Best Villain.

    • tipsy

Twilight is so winning all the award but good luck to BD pt 2 because it`ll have serious competition from crazy Ringers. LOTR won 3 times in a row so The Hobbit will give BD pt 2 a run for its money.

      • maluza

I’m sure it’ll be an fair competition cuz there’s as much Twilighter’s as Ringer’s.

    • ?????

What do you expect? The same actors from these twilight movies are always nominated and always win. i hope natalie portman wins, she’s such a talented actress.
I love the Twilight books, HATE the movies.

  • K

MTV Movie awards are a joke.

    • nykolus

thanks, k, i was just thinking, “do these really matter???”

      • Jenn

It’s like posting the results of “Best Movie” from a high school yearbook.

      • Lettcie

Do any of the movie/tv/film awards matter?

    • Liz Lemon

You are right, especially in the last couple of years.

      • Kris

Remember when the MTV Movies Awards were a really fun award show? They were my favourite award show when I was a kid. Now they’re live and seemingly unrehearsed (aka not funny) and they just pander to the flavour of the month while finding a way to promote all the summer blockbusters. Its like one big advertisement.

      • Liz Lemon

Yep. I remember them back in the day when they were actually worth my time.

  • crispy

Can you decline one of these nominations?

  • Brady

Those two The Social Network quotes pale in comparison to “I’m 6 foot 5, 220, and there’s two of me!”

    • Liz

Or the “I’m just checking your math” 18+1 can’t remember the exact quote.

      • you

“I’m just checking your math on that. Yes, I got the same thing”

All about the timing and delivery, but easily the best quote in the movie.

      • Jenn

Totally agree. His whole character was wrapped up in that line.

      • Anonymous

        Agreed! Best line by far.

    • Sammie

First line I thought of too. Surprised it’s not up there.

    • Mindy

The best line of the year came from the Social Network, and it isn’t nominated either.
“You are going to go through life thinking that girls don’t like you because you’re a nerd. And I want you to know from the bottom of my heart that that won’t be true. It’ll be because you’re an a**hole.”

      • Heather P

I love that quote. The Vinklevi quote had me chuckling too.

      • Melissa

That’s my favorite line from the movie, too.

      • Karate Pants

YES! Excellent line, wish I’d thought of it a few years back…

    • Laura

SERIOUSLY! Best line ever! BEST MOVIE EVER! Aaron Sorking is BEAST!

      • Laura

Excuse is is Aaron Sorkin lol

    • AimeeB

My favorite Social Network quote (made especially enlightening and somewhat distrubing by the fact that it came directly from one of Zuckerberg’s depositions) is the one where the lawyer asks Mark whether he has/deserves Mark’s full attention and he responds with something to the effect of, “You have part of my attention – you have the minimum amount. The rest of my attention is back at the offices of Facebook, where my colleagues and I are doing things that no one in this room, including and especially your clients, are intellectually or creatively capable of doing. Did I adequately answer your condescending question?”

Great answer and incredibly revealing about Zuckerberg’s personality.

  • Cygnus

If these are the early nominees, I hate to see what the rest look like. The early nomination lists had such better nominees and material, and yet the final nominees are the same old bland choices. Who really thinks Jennifer Aniston is a nominee? Nobody can stand her, and no one goes to see her bland, unfunny movies. Zac Efron??? Are you kidding??? Wasn’t he important like 5 years ago, and didnt the Charlie St.Cloud movie tank majorly at the box office? This isnt the Nickolodeon Teen Choice Awards, but by this list, you’d think it was.

    • Anna

Nominees are decided by fan voting. These nominations are pretty much expected unless you haven’t seen or read about MTV Movie Awards in years. Zac Efron was actually very good in Charlie St. Cloud and I’m glad he made the cut. Twilight will win everything though.

      • forgetmenot

MTV says that the “fans” decide, but it’s actually the producers who have final say on who wins. It’s just to boost ratings. I loved Twilight when it swept the MTV Awards in 2009 but then again last year. It’s just so pathetic now. Harry Potter needs some recognition, when has it ever won anything? Never. And it’s time that achieved some reward.

    • Liz Lemon

Well considering the crowd the MTV site usually attracts (girls aged 12-15), I’m not surprised at all.
I am shocked Justin Bieber didn’t end up nominated though.

    • angel

Excuse me if zac was important 5 years ago he wouldn’t have made the cut in mtv award list neither would he have won at the People choice award. He is out of disney and taking mature roles. Also the movie tanked but go read the critics review of csc, the critics liked zac’s performance but didn’t like the screenplay and said zac was only good thing abt it.

    • Kris

Just Go With It was one of Jen’s best openings in years so clearly people still go see her “unfunny” movies.

    • Dave

Well, Just Go With It made over $100 million at the box office, so obviously people are still seeing her movies.

  • Ben

It looks like The People’s Choice Awards on another network, and just as worthless.

    • pernilla

why do you think its worthless when people choose the winner? thats how we get the real winners who us citizens love… i think oscars and grammy’s are worthless because the winners is been chosen by 3-5 men who always follow up the same pattern…

      • Ben

Pernilla, The People’s Choice Awards and the MTV Awards are choosen by a bunch of fans who vote for their favorites. The Grammys and the Academy Awards are selected by a few Thousand individuals who are qualified experts in the fields in which they vote. I doubt if most of the voters of the People’s Choice Awards and MTV awards have seen more than a few movies, or heard more than a few songs. I am certain that Grammy and Academy voters have heard most of the songs and seen most of the movies they are voting for. Just Go With It or The Twlight Saga: Eclipse is a better film than The King’s Speech? I doubt it.

      • daisy

nonono, “people” do not choose these awards. A group of retarded teenagers who have nothing better to do than vote 1000 times for the Twilight movie of the year vote for these awards. It may be a little more reasonalbe, and looked on better, if they made you sign up with a valid email, validate that email,a nd then vote ONCE. I bet that twilight crud would not even win with the teenyboppers then.

      • Kris

The People’s Choice Awards isn’t about who the people vote for, its about who is willing to waste their time and show up. Why do you think Selena Gomez beat Justin Beiber?

    • Rip

      You must be against democracy.

      • Ben

To Rip, The People’s Choice Awards and The MTV Music Video Awards do not represent true democracy. They are a joke and are not taken seriously by the vast majority of people. Comparing these two awards to the Real election held on the First Tuesday in November every year is a laugh. I hope that everyone, age 18 and up, is registered to vote and does so, which is their right as free citizens.

      • @Rip

        You must be against intelligence

  • A

All those quotes suck. That’s what they got out of all the movies that came out? MTV – still peddling crap.

  • Caroline

    go emma stone!
iagree the best lines are pretty lame (specially the social network ones)…

    • Mindy

No way. Well, these aren’t the best lines from “The Social Network”. But that line, “If you guys were the inventors of Facebook, you’d have invented Facebook” is a great line.

    • Laura

You’re are so DUMB! Let me guess you’re 17 right? 16 maybe? Because if you were an adult, you’d be able to tell the difference between a good movie and crap. The Social Network won best screenplay at the Academy Awards and was the only movie out of the other nominees who was thisclose to beating The King’s Speech, which by the was DID NOT deserve the Oscar. Arron Sorkin is a genius.

      • Heather P

I just saw Easy A yesterday. I did love The King’s Speech and The Social Network, but I wouldn’t call Easy A crap. It was smart and entertaining. I’m 35.

Also, I really don’t think the quotes mentioned from The Social network do it justice though. There were some good quotes that weren’t nominated.

      • Anonymous

Calm down, Laura. She didn’t say the movie sucked, just the lines that were chosen, which I agree are not the best representatives for such a great movie, especially the Justin Timberlake one. I’m 16 and enjoy watching movies with substance, not Twilight crap. I’ll gladly compare my intelligence to yours any day of the week. It sounds like you’re the one who needs to grow up and learn how to allow other people to share their opinion, even if it differs from your own. I guess I forgot that being over 18 automatically makes you intelligent, able to correctly identify “good” movies, and your opinion worthwhile. And, as you’ve proved, a complete jerk.

  • Nathalie

Definitely the Tom Hardy line from “Inception.” That was the most killer line in the whole film!!!

    • shoegal2547

      Agree…Tom Hardy’s line and Inception…loved it!

    • Meier

That line WAS lots of awesomeness… Who receives this award? If ‘Inception’ wins, Nolan?

  • sam

ughhh the Easy A line…so bad. It hurts to even read it.

    • Karate Pants

I agree, it’s easily the dumbest effin line of the year.

      • Jeff

Says the commenter named “Karate Pants.”

    • m1

I loved that line! Grr you.

  • Laura

Best Actress, Natalie Portman. Best Actor, Jesse Eisenberg. Best Line, Inception. But guess who’s gonna win because it is MTV and not the Academy? Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson

    • @Rip

thats right, that hack of an actress with no personality and who thinks she is better than all the moronic teenage girls who love her is gonna win. Oh, and Rob Pattinson too. He is a crap actor, but at least he has a personality

      • ?????

Why stop at Stewart or Pattinson? they all suck(the twilight actors). *sigh* Is there even REAL talent in Hollywood any more?
oh well these award shows arn’t worth my time

  • miss k

I think they just used the most popular lines that were in the trailers. Not the actual best lines in the movie.

  • Robert Woodside

Better lines from “The Social Network” are:
Gage: Mr. Zuckerberg, do I have your full attention?
Mark Zuckerberg: [stares out the window] No.
Gage: Do you think I deserve it?
Mark Zuckerberg: [looks at Gage] What?
Gage: Do you think I deserve your full attention?
Mark Zuckerberg: I had to swear an oath before we began this deposition, and I don’t want to perjure myself, so I have a legal obligation to say no.
Gage: Okay – no. You don’t think I deserve your attention.
Mark Zuckerberg: I think if your clients want to sit on my shoulders and call themselves tall, they have the right to give it a try – but there’s no requirement that I enjoy sitting here listening to people lie. You have part of my attention – you have the minimum amount. The rest of my attention is back at the offices of Facebook, where my colleagues and I are doing things that no one in this room, including and especially your clients, are intellectually or creatively capable of doing.
Mark Zuckerberg: Did I adequately answer your condescending question?

Ma’am, I know you’ve done your homework and so you know that money isn’t a big part of my life, but at the moment I could buy Mt. Auburn Street, take the Phoenix Club, and turn it into my ping-pong room.

    • GinaBallerina

Nicely done. I also like Eduardo’s rant: “My Prada’s at the cleaners!” Sarcasm for the win!

    • Meier

Wasn’t the “ping pong room” line recycled by Sorkin and used in “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip”? Even if so, a fun one to use again.

  • asher

The Twilight stars were a given. But Jennifer Aniston for “Just Go With It” and Zac Effron for “Charlie St. Cloud”? Really?

    • tipsy

Alex Pettywhatever as Biggest Badass????????? Lolololololololol!

    • jane

Oh god leave zac alone. When he was doing those crappy hsm movies people were against it. Now he is taking on mature roles people are against it .Just bcoz he was in disney two years ago doesn’t means he is bad bcoz critics liked his performance in csc.
