There be monsters in need of pummelin’!
So sayeth the live-action role-player portrayed by Peter Dinklage, and whatever the Game of Thrones star says, goes.
Director Joe Lynch selected a cast heavy with sci-fi/fantasy icons — Dinklage, True Blood‘s Ryan Kwanten, Serenity/Firefly‘s Summer Glau, Community‘s Danny Pudi, Mad Men‘s Michael Gladis and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia‘s Jimmi Simpson — a nice guy who always plays bad guys. The whole gang presented their film about a group of Dungeons & Dragons-style role-play aficionados who actually awaken a real, flesh-eating hell succubus.
The gorgeous Margarita Levieva (Lisa P., from Adventureland) plays the demon, which takes the form of Kwanten’s horrible ex-girlfriend after the beast is conjured during a spell his friends cast on him — not realizing the words they’re reading from an old book on eBay are actually potent black magic.
Here’s the trailer that debuted at Comic-Con today:
