Do you find yourself getting a little bored with all the square-jawed, upright superheroes invading our multiplexes with their flagrant do-goodery and their bright-colored outfits? Then you’ll enjoy the first trailer for next year’s Ghost Rider sequel. Essentially ignoring the fondly-forgotten 2007 original film, the new movie looks to be carrying Nicolas Cage’s cursed motorcyclist into gleefully over-the-top territory — not surprising, since the sequel is being helmed by the Crank directorial duo of Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. And when I say “over-the-top,” I’m mainly referring to the trailer-closing image of Ghost Rider urinating fire. (Disruptive urination = so hot right now.) Also, Christopher Lambert is in this movie. According to BoxOfficeMojo.com, the original grossed $115 million on a production budget of $110 million. With an additional $112 million from international markets and 5 million DVDs sold, you have a green light for a sequel.

I will admit, I was impressed with the trailer, and how much better it looked over the first film….
and then they added the piss-of-fire at the end and ruined it.
The first movie was ok as camp crap, but the trailer for this one has me interested…..might be good.

this one looks interesting, and sometimes a sequel can be much better than the original. Exp. Evil Dead II, Wayne’ s World II, Empire Strikes Back.

The difference between those (and I agree with Mr Eko’s disagreement about Wayne’s World) is that the first movies weren’t terrible like the first Ghost Rider was.
