The first teaser trailer for Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie felt like a Happy Madison production directed by David Lynch. Too soon to tell if that’s a good thing… or a great thing! The new poster for the movie, which follows the not-so-dynamic duo after they’ve squandered every last cent of their movie’s billion-dollar budget and are on the run from the shady Schlaaang corporation that backed them, captures the same shroomy vibe. Take a look:
So much to analyze, I don’t know where to start. The matching khaki, black loafer ensemble? The wolfback ride… on a giant divot of earth… with mini rainbows? The film’s synopsis explains that when the on-the-run heroes “happen upon a chance to rehabilitate a bankrupt mall full of vagrants, bizarre stores and a man-eating wolf that stalks the food court, they see dollar signs — a billion of them.” So that explains the wolf… sorta.
Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie will play at Sundance as part of the festival’s “Park City at Midnight” lineup. The comedy officially arrives OnDemand Jan. 27, 2012, and in theaters on March 2.
