In Frost/Nixon, director Ron Howard and screenwriter Peter Morgan tackled a legendary contest between two men with widely divergent personalities. Substitute the roads of Europe for a TV studio, and you’ve got Rush, Howard and Morgan’s 2013 film about two race car drivers — Englishman James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) and Austrian Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl, Inglourious Basterds) — who went head to head for the Formula 1 championship in 1976 that came down to the final laps of the final race, tailor-made for a feature film.
Universal Studios has released four new photos of the film, which highlight Hunt’s flashy charm against Lauda’s dogged determination. Check them out below:
Rush costars Olivia Wilde (TRON: Legacy) and Alexandra Maria Lara (The Reader). It’s set for release in 2013.
