Audiences expecting to return to the swords-and-sandals-and-CGI ancient Greece of 300 this summer will have to wait until next March. Warner Bros. has pushed the release date of sequel/side-quel 300: Rise of an Empire from Aug. 2, 2013 to March 7, 2014.

That move also bumps another WB action project, Tom Cruise-starrer All You Need Is Kill, from March 7, 2014 to the prominent summer U.S. release date of June 6, 2014. The time loop war movie is taking a page from the book of films like Iron Man 3 and Cruise’s own Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol with the plan to open in select international markets a week prior to the domestic wide release, on May 30, 2014.

“We have tremendous confidence in All You Need is Kill and view it as a perfect tentpole for the summer frame, with its combination of great cast, compelling story and tremendous action,” WB president of domestic distribution Dan Fellman said in a statement.

300: Rise of an Empire takes place before, during, and after the events of 2007’s 300 and stars Eva Green. In All You Need Is Kill, Cruise stars as a soldier at war with aliens who dies on his first day of combat, only to find himself waking up at the beginning of the same hellish day, dying and waking up again and again. The film also stars Emily Blunt and Bill Paxton.
