Fast & Furious 7 took a long production break in the wake of star Paul Walker’s death. Rumors circulated about possible directions the film could take in completing the story arc of Brian O’Conner, since the actor had not completed work on the movie. Now the film has restarted, and on the franchise’s official Facebook page, Universal has posted a message casting some light on how they plan to finish the film.
After noting that Walker “had already shot his dramatic scenes and most of his action” for the movie, the message explains that Paul’s brothers Caleb and Cody have joined the production. “Caleb and Cody are helping us complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production,” the message reads. “Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us, too.”
The message would seem to imply that Walkers brothers will complete his role, serving as body doubles. (The Hollywood Reporter had previously reported that some CGI would be utilized.) You can check out the complete Facebook posting here.
