This post contains potential spoilers for the plot of Guardians of the Galaxy.

In Guardians of the Galaxy, Rocket is a wise-cracking, raccoon-like creature voiced by Bradley Cooper. If Rocket is a departure from the typical caped superhero, he’s not the first anthropomorphic Marvel comic-book character to have his moment on the big screen. Back in 1986, Howard the Duck starred in a notorious bomb, produced by George Lucas, that made the once-cool character a pathetic punchline. He’s been missing from the movies ever since.

But according to StitchKingdom.com, Howard is getting a second chance—from the Guardians themselves. The website received the credited cast list for the Aug. 1 Marvel film, and buried near the bottom was Howard the Duck and a nod to his creators, Steve Gerber and Val Mayerik. Disney did not immediately respond to a request for comment, so it remains unclear whether Howard makes a major appearance, lurks in the background at some alien cantina bar, or just exists as heroic inspiration from Peter Quill’s comic-book reading days on Earth. If it’s the latter case, let’s hope young Peter read the comic-books and never saw the movie.

The cast list that StitchKingdom claims to have also clears up the mystery of Nathan Fillion’s involvement; he plays “Monstrous Inmate.” In addition, Stan Lee pops up as “Xandarian Ladies’ Man,” Rob Zombie voices “Ravager Navigator Voice,” and director James Gunn cameos as one of the “Maskless Sakaaran.”
