
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, continuing efforts to ramp up its slate, has grabbed the feature film rights to British writer Jojo Moyes’ bestselling novel Me Before You, the studio announced Tuesday.
The book follows a small-town girl named Lou caught between dead-end jobs, according to an MGM press release, and a high-profile guy named Will who becomes wheelchair-bound after an accident. Will, despondent about his situation, is paired with Lou as his new caretaker, and they affect each other’s lives.
