Alleged 'Breaking Dawn' hacker denies charges, while Summit defends its claims against her

It may not be an epic tale of vampires, werewolves and forbidden love, but the drama surrounding the hacking of video and images from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn has certainly provided a fair number of surprising twists. Earlier this week, Summit Entertainment took the unusual step of releasing the name of the person the company alleges is primarily responsible for the hacking: 24-year-old Argentinean student Daiana Santia. Summit also filed suit against Santia in both U.S. and Argentina courts.

On Thursday, Santia held a press conference in her home town of Posadas, claiming that she simply found the materials while surfing the Web. “I couldn’t do it again even if I wanted to,” she said, according to an Associated Press report. READ FULL STORY

Alleged 'Breaking Dawn' hacker identified

Last spring the filmmakers of  The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn pleaded with fans not to “view or pass on” images that had leaked onto the internet from the unfinished film (which included highly anticipated scenes, such as Bella and Edward in bed), and described themselves as “extremely heartbroken.”

But maybe now they can take comfort in legal action? Summit Entertainment put out a press release today that identifies the alleged “principle hacker”: “Civil actions in the United States and Argentina name Daiana Santia, along with others, as being involved in stealing photographs, unfinished images and video from both parts of the yet to be released The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn which first appeared on the internet of March 31 of this year,” the release states, going on to say that criminal action in Argentina has also been filed.  READ FULL STORY

Comic-Con’s Hall H held all the devoted fans (some who had been waiting to get in since Monday) it could pack in for Thursday’s Breaking Dawn panel. “You always forget just how huge it is,” said Robert Pattinson, a few hours later, relaxing with coffee alongside Kristen Stewart and director Bill Condon.

Comic-Con 2011: Taylor Lautner teases 'Abduction,' talks SDCC popularity

Taylor Lautner is such a Comic-Con draw, he’s not allowed to sign autographs on the floor because organizers fear he’d get mobbed — and of course they’re right. The Twilight star was, however, able to stop by EW’s VIP Comic-Con lounge to talk about Abduction, his Sept. 23 thriller about a boy who finds his own picture in a missing persons ad. Lautner talked with EW’s Dave Karger about how excited he was by Abduction‘s script (“I couldn’t stop turning the pages”) and how stoked he is about the movie’s cast, which also includes Sigourney Weaver and Alfred Molina. Watch Lautner’s interview with EW after the jump — and try not to swoon. READ FULL STORY

'Breaking Dawn': Comic-Con premieres Bella-Edward honeymoon footage

The 6,000-plus plus fans at Hall H were not disappointed at the Breaking Dawn panel today. Director Bill Condon, Kristen Stewart, and Robert Pattinson (with a half-shaved head!) took the stage and wasted little time in showing two exclusive clips from the film. The first featured Taylor Lautner as Jacob negotiating with the Sam-led wolf pack, and how it would be he that would destroy Bella and Edward’s baby (we all know how that turns out).

But the clip that caused some major squeals out in the audience (watch our video interview with fans below) was the hotly anticipated honeymoon scene out on Isle Esme. READ FULL STORY

'Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1' poster doesn't feature Robert Pattinson, but is pretty nonetheless

Behold, Twihards, the first teaser poster for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, which hits theaters Nov. 18. I’m no Twilight expert myself, so I’ll leave it to y’all to tell me what symbolic significance, if any, this sunrise holds. Is this a poster you’d pin up on your bedroom wall to gaze into from time to time? Or would you have preferred gazing into a poster that featured the pretty mugs of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner? And, most important of all, why does the movie title’s first “g” letter get to be all decked out with a Tim Burton-esque spiral? The other two g’s have got to be envious.
